Finding your way around

The Bankayo workspace layout — sidebar, search, and shortcuts.

Once signed in, everything lives inside one workspace: a sidebar on the left for navigation, a top bar with tools, and the page content in the middle. The sidebar header is the Bankayo letter mark; collapsed, it shows the B only.

Dashboard

Home is the Dashboard. Choose an office when you can see more than one; the tiles follow that office. Each card opens the matching screen. Portfolio health has PAR 60/90, product mix, and days-past-due bands. Tiles you are not allowed to see stay hidden.

The sidebar

The sidebar is built for daily work first, then the rest of the institution:

Two things worth knowing:

  • You only see what you can use. Menu items appear based on the permissions your administrator assigned to you — if something you expect is missing, ask them about your role.
  • Screens that are not built yet show a Soon badge. You can still open them to see the placeholder.
  • Collapse it with the toggle button at the top-left (or drag the sidebar edge). Collapsed, it shows icons only — hover to see names. Your choice is remembered.

On any help page, a sticky top bar holds search and light/dark. Read and Watch tabs choose the format: the written guide, or a walkthrough when one exists (otherwise you can ask for a video). At the bottom you can say whether the article was helpful — yes or no, no name or email. Search (or Ctrl+K / ⌘K) opens a list of topics. Type to search the written pages — titles, headings, and body — not the walkthrough videos. Tabs filter to Guides, Products, Accounting, or Organization. Esc closes the list. From the rest of the app, ? opens help for the screen you are on; search help from there.

Jump anywhere with the keyboard

Press Ctrl+K (or ⌘K on a Mac, or click search in the top bar) to open the quick-jump menu. Type a screen name to go there. If you are already on a client, loan, savings account, share account, group, center, or product, the same menu lists that record’s sections (overview, transactions, accounting, and so on). Two or more characters also search clients (name, account number, mobile, or external ID), loans, savings and share accounts, groups, centers, and client identifiers — identifiers open the matching client.

The top bar

  • Sidebar toggle and Home sit in the left chrome.
  • Breadcrumbs show where you are — including the client’s, loan’s, savings account’s, group’s, or center’s name — and let you step back up. On a narrow screen only the current page is shown.
  • Search — the magnifying glass (or Ctrl+K / ⌘K) opens the quick-jump menu.
  • Bell — notifications, refreshed automatically about once a minute. Client notifications open that client's page; loan and savings notifications open that account.
  • Feedback — report an issue with this institution, or an idea to improve Bankayo. Help stays the written guide for the screen you are on.
  • ? — help for the screen you're on.
  • Account — your initials. Open it for your name, branch, roles, theme (Heritage, Neutral, Royal Blue, Cerulean, Ruby, or Emerald), appearance (light / dark / system), Install when the browser can add Bankayo as an app, and Sign out. Theme and appearance apply immediately and are remembered on this browser.

Screens marked "Coming soon"

Bankayo is rolled out module by module. A screen marked Coming soon is on the roadmap — the What's new page announces each release.
