Reports

Reports

Browse published reports and run table reports with their parameters.

Open Reports from the sidebar (or press Ctrl+K and type "reports"). You need report-reading permission — if the menu item is missing, ask your administrator.

Saved SQL that a job inserts into a table is Organization → Ad-hoc query, not this catalog.

The catalog lists every report from the banking service. In use and Type start as Yes and Table, so unpublished and non-table reports stay hidden until you change those filters. Filter by name, category, type, subtype, source (core or custom), or whether the report can be run from this screen. Export the catalog as CSV or Excel. CSV is UTF-8 so Excel on Windows opens names correctly; Excel is a real workbook.

Click a row to open that report. Income Statement Table and Balance Sheet Table open the dedicated income statement and balance sheet screens instead of the generic runner. Long descriptions stay one line in the catalog and on a generic report page; hover to read the rest. On a generic report page, type, category, and the other chips stay on the header — they do not slide off the right edge.

Running a table report

The report opens on an empty table. Set parameters opens a docked sidebar. Fill the fields and Run. While the banking service works, the table shows a loading skeleton. Rows then page in the grid (25 by default).

  • Required fields come from the report itself (office, dates, officer, and so on). A child list (for example loan officers for an office) fills after you pick the parent.
  • Some lists include All (-1) when the report SQL supports it.
  • Dates show in the same medium date style as the rest of Bankayo. Amounts (decimal columns) use ledger figures with no currency code: grouped digits, fixed decimal places, and parentheses for negatives — the report does not say which currency the figure is in. Decimal places only changes how those amounts look on screen.
  • Parameters on the results toolbar opens the sidebar again to change filters and re-run.
  • Export downloads that same result as CSV or Excel. CSV is UTF-8; Excel is a real workbook. Both keep the values the banking service returned, not the on-screen date or decimal formatting.

A report you can see in the catalog may still refuse to run if your role does not include that report. The banking service’s reason is shown.

Chart, Pentaho, BIRT, Email, and other non-table reports appear in the catalog but cannot be run yet.

Creating or editing report SQL is not on this screen. That lives under System → Manage reports. Core reports can only turn In use on or off; copy one to a custom report to change its SQL.

The address bar is Reports, then the report name.
