Templates

Mustache documents and SMS assigned to clients or loans.

Open Templates from Admin (or press Ctrl+K and type "templates"). You need template-reading permission to see the list, create permission to add one, update permission to edit one, and delete permission to remove one.

A template is a user-generated document or SMS. The banking service fills Mustache placeholders (for example {{client.displayName}}) from a client or a loan when the template is used. It is not a charge template and not a report.

The list

  • Search by name, entity, or type.
  • Sort by clicking a column heading.
  • Export downloads the catalog as CSV or Excel.
  • New template opens the wizard when you have create permission.
  • Click a row to edit that template when you have update permission.
  • The row menu can edit or delete.

The address bar is Admin › Templates.

The wizard

Create and edit use the same four steps. Next checks the current step. Close (X) returns to the list without saving. After you create a template, the wizard stays open on the saved copy so you can keep editing.

  1. Details — Name is required (up to 200 characters). Entity is client or loan — whichever record the text is about. Type is document or SMS. Both lists come from the banking service.
  2. Mappers — each row is a key and a path. The key is the Mustache root (client for {{client.displayName}}). The path is a banking-service URL that loads that JSON, including the tenant. The first row is filled from the entity you picked (client or loan). Extra rows are optional. Changing the entity replaces that first row only if you have not edited it.
  3. Text — the Mustache body. Required. Documents may include HTML. SMS should stay short. Parameter chips insert a token at the cursor. Loan templates also list repayment-schedule fields.
  4. Review — confirm, then Save. Delete is on this step when you have delete permission.

If New template is missing, you do not have create permission.

When to use which entity

Pick Client when the letter or SMS is about the person or organisation (name, office, account number, groups). Pick Loan when it is about a loan (product, status, repayment totals). The chips on the text step follow that choice.
