Maker-checker

Choose which commands need a checker before they take effect.

Open System → Maker-checker (or press Ctrl+K and type "maker-checker"). You need READ_PERMISSION to view the list and UPDATE_PERMISSION to change flags.

These flags are institution-wide, not per role. They decide which commands wait in Checker Inbox until a checker approves them. Granting a permission on a role is separate — a role can perform a command, and this screen can still require a second person to approve it.

What you can do

  • Search by everyday name, permission code, or grouping.
  • Tick a command so a maker's work waits for a checker. The group checkbox selects or clears every command in that grouping.
  • Save writes only what changed.

Read permissions, checker-only permissions (*_CHECKER), and the special grouping cannot use maker-checker — Fineract does not list them here.

On a role's permissions page, commands that already require a checker show a Needs checker badge, with a link back to this screen.
