Configurations
Global enable/disable flags and institution-wide settings in Fineract.
Open System → Configurations (or Ctrl+K and type "configurations"). You need READ_CONFIGURATION to view the list and UPDATE_CONFIGURATION to change values.
What you can do
- Filter by configuration name or enabled state.
- Toggle the switch on a row to enable or disable a flag immediately.
- Edit a row to change numeric, text, or date values in the sidebar.
- Switch to the Business dates tab to view or set the logical business date (when
enable-business-dateis on). - Ctrl+K (or sidebar screen search): type business date to jump straight to that tab; on this page, On this record lists both tabs.
- Export the full list as CSV or Excel.
Business dates
Use the Business dates tab on the same screen as global configurations. When enable-business-date is off, the tab stays available with disabled controls and a hint to enable the flag on the Configurations tab. When it is on, the tab loads the current business and COB dates and Set business date opens the edit sidebar.
Maker-checker
When maker-checker is enabled on the tenant, configuration updates may queue for approval in the Checker Inbox instead of applying immediately.
Locked settings
Some configurations show as locked after accounts exist on the tenant
(trapDoor in Fineract). Those cannot be changed from this screen.
