Entity-to-entity mapping
Restrict which offices or roles can use which loan products, savings products, or charges.
Open System → Entity-to-entity mapping (or Ctrl+K and type "entity mapping"). You need READ_FINERACTENTITY to view the list. CREATE_ENTITYMAPPING, UPDATE_ENTITYMAPPING, and DELETE_ENTITYMAPPING control the buttons. Superusers with ALL_FUNCTIONS see everything.
These mappings limit which loan products, savings products, or charges an office or role may use. Fineract applies them when office-specific-products-enabled is on in Configurations.
What you can do
- Browse mappings by type (office or role to a product or charge), with optional from/to filters and name search.
- Create a mapping: pick the type Fineract offers, the from entity, the to entity, and optional start and end dates.
- Edit the from/to pair and dates. The mapping type cannot change after create.
- Delete a mapping from the row menu.
- Export the filtered list as CSV or Excel.
Mapping types
Membership comes from GET /entitytoentitymapping — typically office access
to loan products, savings products, or charges, and role access to loan or
savings products. Bankayo labels those codes; it does not hide types Fineract
still returns.
From and to pickers load offices, roles, loan products, savings products, and charges from their Fineract lists. Unknown types still appear in the table using Fineract's code name.
A pair of from and to on the same type can exist only once. End date, when set, cannot be before start date.
Maker-checker
When maker-checker is enabled on the tenant, mapping changes may queue for approval in the Checker Inbox instead of applying immediately.
