Financial activity mappings
Map system financial events to GL accounts.
Open Financial activity mappings from Accounting (or press Ctrl+K and type "financial activity" or "vault"). You need mapping-viewing permission to see the list, create permission to add, update permission to edit, and delete permission to remove.
Fineract uses these mappings when teller cash moves, vault balances change, transfers post, opening balances migrate, and similar system events hit the books. Each activity expects a detail GL account of a specific type — asset, liability, or equity — and the form filters the account picker accordingly.
The list
Search by activity name or GL account. Export the catalog as CSV or Excel.
- New mapping opens a sidebar: pick the financial activity, then the GL account. Only detail accounts of the required type appear.
- Click a row to change the mapped GL account. The activity itself cannot change on edit — delete and recreate if you picked the wrong activity.
- The row menu Deletes a mapping Fineract allows to remove.
Common activities include Cash at main vault, Cash at teller, Asset fund source, Asset transfer, Liability transfer, Opening balances transfer contra, and Payable dividends. Your tenant may expose others; labels come from Fineract.
Set these up before teller allocate/settle or opening-balance migration — those
journal lines use the accounts you map here. pnpm seed:gl can seed a starter
chart and mappings for local Fineract.
