Accounting

Accounting

Chart of accounts, journal entries, import, frequent postings, migrate opening balances, accounting rules, financial activity mappings, closures, accruals, loan-loss provisioning, and provisioning entries.

Open Accounting in the sidebar (a navigation group, not a page) or press Ctrl+K and type "accounting". You need GL-account, journal-viewing, journal-create, rule-viewing, financial-activity-mapping, closure-viewing, accrual-running, or provisioning permission — if the group is missing, ask your administrator.

Accounting lists the ledger tools you can use. Open a screen from the group (or press Ctrl+K and type its name).

Chart of accounts

Chart of accounts is the ledger loan products, savings products, and charges pick when they post to the books. Open it from this group (or press Ctrl+K and type "chart of accounts" or "GL"). Detail accounts appear on product pickers; headers group other accounts.

Journal entries

Journal entries is the ledger of debit and credit lines. Search by date, office, account, or transaction. Post a balanced manual journal — pick an accounting rule to fill the debit and credit accounts, or choose the accounts yourself — or reverse one. Loan movements, savings movements, and teller cash allocate or settle appear here when they post to the books.

Import journal entries

Import journal entries bulk-posts balanced manual journals from an Excel file. Pick office, currency, and optional payment type on the form; each row supplies date, amount, debit GL code, and credit GL code.

Frequent postings

Frequent postings posts a balanced journal from a saved accounting rule when you only need office, rule, amount, and date — the rule's debit and credit accounts are filled for you.

Migrate opening balances

Migrate opening balances posts a balanced journal of opening GL balances for an office — one row per account with either a debit or credit amount.

Accounting rules

Accounting rules save a named debit and credit account pair for an office. Pick the rule on New journal when the same pair is posted often, or choose the accounts yourself.

Financial activity mappings

Financial activity mappings point each system financial event — vault, teller, transfers, fund source — at a detail GL account. Teller allocate/settle and similar postings use these accounts.

Closures

Closures lock an office through a date. No journal can post or reverse on or before that date until you delete the latest closure.

Accruals

Accruals accrue loan income through a date before today. The journals appear under Journal entries.

Provisioning entries

Loan-loss provisioning explains how criteria, loans, GL accounts, and journal entries fit together. Provisioning entries calculate loan-loss reserves from your criteria. Create an entry for a date, then post the journals when you are ready. The journals appear under Journal entries.
