Self Help

Savings

Check balances, deposit, withdraw, and download statements in Self Help.

Open Savings from the bottom navigation to see your account with the SACCO.

Balances

The savings card shows:

  • Running balance — overall account balance
  • Available balance — what you can use now
  • Last transaction date
  • Interest earned — when your SACCO pays interest
  • Held as collateral — amounts locked as loan security (when applicable)

Recent Transactions lists deposits, withdrawals, and other movements with running balances.

Statement

Tap the statement control, choose a from / to date range, and download a PDF. Statements are for your records; they are only fully valid with your SACCO’s seal or authorized signature.

Deposit (mobile money)

  1. Tap Deposit (floating action on mobile).
  2. Enter an MTN or Airtel Uganda phone number (the network is detected).
  3. Enter an amount within the shown minimum and maximum.
  4. Tap Continue.

Mobile money deposits require your SACCO to be registered with MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, or Safaricom. Ask your administrator — once registration is in place, Bankayo can activate deposits for members. Until then, Self Help explains what to ask staff rather than charging a live wallet.

Withdrawal

  1. From Home, tap Withdraw.
  2. Select the savings account.
  3. Enter an amount up to your available balance.
  4. Submit the request.

Withdrawals are sent for SACCO staff approval before funds are released. You are notified when staff act.

Walkthrough recordings stop before a live withdrawal submit. Deposit continue only shows the provider-registration guidance screen.
