Self Help

Loans

Track pending, active, and closed loans, and apply in Self Help.

Open Loans to see your borrowing with the SACCO and — when enabled — to start a new application.

Your loan categories

Loans are grouped into three tabs:

  1. Pending — applications you submitted that staff have not finished reviewing.
  2. Active — approved and disbursed loans; balances and next installments appear here.
  3. Closed — fully repaid or otherwise closed by your SACCO.

The summary at the top shows active loan count and outstanding balance.

Apply for a loan

Available only when your SACCO allows Self Help loan applications.

  1. Tap Apply for Loan.
  2. Select a product — only products your SACCO enables for members appear. Each card shows interest, amount range, period range, and whether guarantors are required.
  3. Enter amount and period (months) within those limits.
  4. Optionally add up to two guarantors (full name and 14-character NIN). Some products require guarantors; otherwise you may leave them blank.
  5. Tap Review Schedule to preview installments.
  6. Tap Submit Application when you are ready (you can go back to edit first).

After you submit

  1. Your SACCO administrator is notified of the new application.
  2. Loan officers review it (including guarantor details when provided).
  3. If they approve and disburse, you receive a notification.
  4. The loan moves from Pending to Active on your Loans screen.

Walkthrough recordings stop on the schedule preview and do not submit live applications.
