Recurring deposits

Recurring deposit statement

Preview a date range of recurring deposit postings and download a PDF.

The recurring deposit workspace has a Statement section. Open it from an account — there is no institution-wide statement list. The ? button on that section opens this page.

Fineract does not expose a statement API. Bankayo builds the statement from the same postings already loaded on the account: reversed rows are omitted, remaining rows are ordered oldest first, and opening balance is the running balance of the last posting strictly before From. Closing balance is the last running balance in the range, or the opening balance when the range is empty.

Credits are deposits, interest postings, amount releases, dividend payouts, and inward account transfers. Debits are withdrawals, fee deductions, overdraft interest, tax withheld, amount holds, escheat, write-offs, and outward account transfers. Office-transfer status postings are not treated as money in or out. When Fineract sent a transfer description, that text is used instead of the plain type.

Amounts use the currency code, never a symbol. Download PDF asks the server for a file (statement_{account}_{from}_{to}.pdf). You need permission to read the recurring deposit account.

Date range

The page opens on the last calendar month through today. Change From and To, then Show statement. The preview table and the PDF use that applied range. From cannot be after To.

Cash receipts

A cash deposit or withdrawal that is not reversed and not an account transfer can download a receipt PDF from the transaction row. After you record a cash deposit or withdrawal from the header, the sidebar stays open with Download receipt when Fineract returned the new transaction id. Account transfers do not get a receipt.

See Recurring deposits for the rest of the workspace. Fixed deposits use the same statement and receipt pattern on Fixed deposits.
